Superfund is the common name for the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), a United States federal law designed to clean up sites contaminated with hazardous substances.

These sites are seriously bad news, with contamination levels through the roof and of national infamy. In the real world, most of these have already been cleansed or are undergoing cleansing, but I figure in the wonderful World of Darkness, that's probably not the case.

The 10 Superfund sites are:

1. AIR FORCE PLANT PJKS
2. ASARCO, INC. (GLOBE PLANT)
3. BRODERICK WOOD PRODUCTS
4. CENTRAL CITY, CLEAR CREEK
5. CHEMICAL SALES CO.
6. DENVER RADIUM SITE
7. LOWRY LANDFILL
8. MARSHALL LANDFILL
9. ROCKY FLATS PLANT (USDOE)
10. ROCKY MOUNTAIN ARSENAL (USARMY)

There are also about 110 Toxic Release Invetory sites, which are of a smaller magnitude than a Superfund site, but still incredibly icky. To see them all, go to the ToxMap webpage and zoom in on Denver. There's a whole bunch of the there.

Neat research, Phil!

Since these sites are so close to the primary setting of the game, I encourage anyone who wants to use something like this in backstories, one-shots or storylines to send me an email requesting any in-game knowledge your characters may already have or ooc information you may need regarding currently known or historical Wyrm activity.

Essentially: don't make any blanket assumptions about what is/isn't going on in the setting (personally, I'd like to know if there's a Wyrm Pit in the game I'm running! LOL), but keep your eyes open for hooks like this.
