concepts - jamie - 12-07-2016 I debated whether we should all try to get in a room to talk concepts or whether I should let y'all talk shop in the forums. Noel made us a subforum, so it was a pretty quick debate. ![]() RE: concepts - FadedNoel - 12-07-2016 I have a few ideas I'd like to throw up against the wall: 1) Chakravanti -- I like playing with death mages, why not play one? Would prob be female, older, memories of past lives and all that jazz. 2) Akashayana -- Because someday I want to play a Buddhist monk/nun and why not? 3) Wild-ass Crazy Option -- Ex Technocrat (wholly depending on whether Jamie would even accept such a thing). Think Wall grown up and having moved on from his indoctrination. Construct or cyborg, somebody carrying their past within their body. RE: concepts - Kenna - 12-07-2016 I'll be tossing in a Dreamspeaker! I have done precisely zero actual fleshing out, but I'll expound upon the thought as it grows. ![]() RE: concepts - Quither - 12-08-2016 A Mind Sphere Orphan who, during an arrogant attempt to teach some Monks in Nepal how to properly ascend, accidentally invented an alternate personality inside their own brain that has garnered intelligence and consciousness and now vies for dominance in a constant struggle between the Host's mind and it's own asserting eminence. His name is Jordi Belladeaux and the persona is called Mr. Tiggles. RE: concepts - jamie - 12-08-2016 ![]() RE: concepts - HDub - 12-08-2016 Ethernaut! Homegirl was born off-planet and spent her formative years being off in the outer reaches of space with a research team full of people who probably should have never had children in the first place. Shit went down and they met up with some Void Engineers and had to combine ships because of massive casualties and the fact that Void Engineers are of the belief (if I'm understanding the book correctly) that there is shit outside of our comprehension in other places and anyone you can get to help keep you alive is fantastic. So, you have somebody who came up and learned her shit while floating around out in probably some other dimension who is... uh... working on getting herself to being an actual Etherite because APPARENTLY GETTING A SHIP BACK INTO THE CORRECT DIMENSION DOESN'T QUALIFY YOU FOR THAT PARTICULAR HONOR. So, I'm guessing she probably has a derp of a mentor whose sole purpose is to teach her to be a lot more patient and teach her social skills and discourage solving her problems by sticking it in the air locks and waving goodbye. |
