Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - Howl - 07-11-2013 So I wanted to touch base with all the apprentices and the new players (of which there is much overlap) and just make sure that everything is going ok for you guys so far. Do you have any questions? Are you having any trouble getting integrated or catching people for scenes? Basically: are you cool with where you're at right now? Obviously there's no rush on character progress, so as long as you're comfortable then I'm happy. I just want to make sure no one feels lost. If everything's good, then you don't need to reply to this. If, on the other hand, you feel like you're having trouble getting integrated, please shoot me an e-mail (mage[at]woddenver[dot]com) or an fpm or even find me on aim (drowningindeepblue[at]gmail[dot]com) and I will be happy to help however I can. RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - kai - 07-11-2013 Seems like an appropriate place to toss this: Hawksley should by no means be anyone's role model under most circumstances, but he's got a very open paradigm (particularly for his tradition) and keen on inter-traditional knowledge-sharing. Chances of him saying 'no, I won't help you learn that' are slim (unless you're a total d-bag/downer/whatever, man). So if you're interested, toss me an FPM so our imaginary friends can meet! RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - FadedNoel - 07-11-2013 So, last night, I finished the Awakening scene for my character, so I am feeling very happy with where I am at right now :-) I do have some questions, but mostly about how to work the site, and such. Like what is a mood post, what does that mean? Stuff like that. I'm noob. My character as yet knows nothing, not even that there may be others out there that she needs to get in contact with. Not knowing of the existence of other Mages makes socializing a bit difficult. But I'm sure we can work something out. Sounds like a good story to me... RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - Maggie - 07-11-2013 I wouldn't say that I'm having a hard time becoming integrated, I haven't really thrown myself into my Mage because I've been so caught up in Vampire. But! I would like to. My baby Mage Apprentice is pretty much a blank slate. If anyone is interested in dealing with a total Mage noob, I'm your girl. RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - mnemosyne - 07-11-2013 Dittoing what kai said. I'm very open to RP with new mages. Sera can teach them all how to be a mess. Sera can pretty much wind up anyway and she has a really, really good chance of finding/tracing resonance to its source given her stats and is not shy about that so. Mags - I am pretty sure that Sera would frequent the record store where you mage works. I'm never available during the day but can be in the evening. Next time you are available and see me on AIM let me know and we will do something. Like what is a mood post, what does that mean? Stuff like that. I'm noob. A mood post is just another term for solo in-character posts that are made on the forums. Some people like to write them, some people don't. Basically think of it as like... the ongoing story of your character. Stuff that happens (or has happened) away from the other characters but that you would like to explore in your writing. A common example in mage would be like if someone wrote up a mood post of their character gaining a new level in a Sphere (not required but always nice to see.) As for other questions, next time I see you online I'll try to grab you and we can go through everything you feel a little shaky on. If you have aim (or one of the many 3rd party clients,) that's typically the best way to get a hold of me live, since I don't commonly log into the OOC room unless I know someone needs to talk to me. A lot of us like to use aim as a way to coordinate with each other during scenes and ping each other when we've posted, so I would recommend it as a good way to facilitate RP, but it's certainly not required if you're not a big aim person. RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - jamie - 07-11-2013 If you've thought to yourself recently "Man I want to hang out with a dogmatic Chorister priest who scares the shit out of people" then bring your apprentice on over to the Church of the Good Shepherd. ... just not while I'm running this SL. Pan's in Mexico scaring the shit out of people until that's over. RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - CourtCat - 07-20-2013 Shoshannah has a chip on her shoulder but is starting to learn how not to. A little bit. She's still creepy and scary, though! So if you're down with that action, feel free to hit me up. It's important to know, however, that she lives at the Chantry and relies on the kindness of strangers to get elsewhere as a half hour by car is a ridiculously long bike ride. If you want her somewhere that isn't there, I have to abuse Padre or Sid. Or maybe Justin, since they're starting to be friends a bit. RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - DynnMorn - 10-06-2013 Well here it goes. Apprentice submitted and he has business to attend. I don't know how the chantry accepts new mages, but Charlie already has the assumption you guys are hard to contact and he's just a little short on time. If anyones in the area, namely The Church, he's the Victorian in a sea of goths. What's the best way to get the attention of the Kindred? Approach and call them out, then make an offer they can't refuse. Or can, but likely not. Again, this is my first experiance with fourm based RP. I'm. Down to accept help from anyone. So until 8m told to stop, I'm going to roll with this until I make contact (IC) with someone. RE: Apprentice Check-In [attn: anyone who plays one] - CourtCat - 10-06-2013 Oh, Garrett the goofball Hermetic disciple is around if anyone needs him - easiest to find at Auralia campus, but he can be about anywhere. He also has a 16 year old son who can be places and can relay messages, but he's an NPC, so . . . yeah. |
