OOC: please note that we sort of assumed that Milton and Lola or some agent of theirs got in contact with Éva afterwards and brought her the documents found that night in the offices of Fentress Architects, as was the pre-investigation plan. If anyone would've been like, "No don't give the documents to the lady who figures stuff out and has a giant file of other related stuff about stuff," then we'll bring in the zapper from MiB and zap the knowledge out of all our heads. Otherwise:
IC: Éva will make contact with Erich and Javed - as they have been her points of contact until now - and pass on this information. I PRESUME that Erich and Javed will then disseminate her conclusions freely among all involved. With Javed, she will pass this along when she provides him with the blueprints to Cold Crescent and it will be sort of incidental. Erich will get a phone call and they'll meet at the same place they met in that e-mail, Damon, in the anonymous office space upstairs from Jackson Hewitt and across from KFC and the Long John Silver's/A&W Rootbeer combo.
Regardless of the location or circumstances of the meeting, the information that the kinswoman passes on to Javed and Erich is the same:
Éva suspects that the creature Milton and Lola killed is not a possessed human at all. Recall that Warning Threshold has asserted that whatever comes from the mine is inhuman, and unknown to the oldest theurges. The occasional encounters in and around the DIA have been with lizard-like creatures, again, outside the ordinary cosmos of Garou. Neither the Guardians nor the Theurges of Cold Crescent (of what was Cold Crescent) have ever been able to place these creatures as Wyrm or Weaver or Wyld. The creature killed by Milton and Lola was likely not merely a fomori.
He was something Else.
He was something Other.
He was something Unknown.
More to the point, in reviewing the documents they retrieved and associating them with the timeline and other records Éva has already established, it is clear to her that the man / thing / assistant Milton and Lola killed was responsible for a number of subtle tweaks / 'improvements' to the DIA project and that there were NO issues with lizard people or other strangeness at DIA until this particular assistant slithered his way into Fentress' firm and started tweaking the blueprints and design. In short: Paul the now-dead and not-a-fomori assistant was responsible for the 'augmentation' of the DIA project. Fentress is an innocent man. The deceased assistant appears to have had his hand in a number of projects along the way, though in none of these was he as successful at whatever-he-was-doing as he was with DIA.
The "mine" beneath Cold Crescent, though - it was present long before the building itself. It is a natural occurrence, or at least a 'natural' occurrence, unrelated to the architecture of the building that rises above it. The history of the locale shows odd sightings, strange deaths, et cetera for many, many years prior to the construction of the building.
Finally, Éva passes on one last thought. Erich, Javed, have they heard that the statute of the veteran in the courtyard of the Cold Crescent building houses a sleeping spirit of some power? It woke and rose to the defense of the Sept but once. Éva and her assistants have never been able to identify who or what placed the statue there, but she is absolutely confident that she knows why it has awoken so rarely: it is there not to protect Cold Crescent, but to protect the Holy Ghost Church.
If they are hard pressed, they should chose to retreat to and make their stand in or around the church. The spirit may then rise and fight to defend the threatened church, as well.
