Of Red Carpets and Engraved Invitations [Ginger Update] - -ix- - 11-16-2013 Hello, other friends of our beautiful electronic voice. It has come to my attention, as a general observation, that Denver seems to attract new Magi with surprising frequency. As exciting as that is, it does raise a question about at what point to invite them to the Chantry/introduce them to Ginger. I'm not saying we need a scary formal process. I would however like to touch base about establishing some guidelines. My experience is in scary formal process. I'll let some of you with different experience and more familiarity with the House and the city in general set the tone for this discussion. Unless you want to start with scary formal process. In which case, let me know and I'll jump right into telling you about how we did in my last Chantry. I expect that is not where the majority of you would like to go; and, honestly, neither would I. RE: Of Red Carpets and Engraved Invitations [Ginger Update] - FadedNoel - 11-16-2013 Ginger is Gadfly's baby, I'm just spreading her around... Guidelines are basically this: don't talk about Ginger in texts or on the phone or leave a digital trail talking about it. Especially don't give the phone number out. But if you're sure enough about someone to bring them to the Chantry, they should probably be told about Ginger too. Just be careful about it. Hide it like you would any other secret. Also, provided I'm not dying, I'll be happy to set anyone up who wants to get on the network, I don't care who they are (well, as long as they're not trying to murder us all). I'm not in for scary formal processes. If you want to set up a damn form someone has to fill out for Ginger access, I will burn it in sacrifice. I'm just saying. RE: Of Red Carpets and Engraved Invitations [Ginger Update] - -ix- - 11-16-2013 Kit, You must be prescient. I have already designed such a form. In Latin. I am having it printed on special forms so that we can have it in triplicate. That, however, may not be enough. I have contacted various esteemed colleges who live in a giant secret underground complex that is actually filing cabinet and haven't seen daylight in decades to find me a more obnoxious method. Will update at such time as they return my call. I filled out all the forms this morning. I estimate reply in 2017. Barring any administrative processing delays, of course. I will take care to be sure the Interim Access Application Forms are printed with vegetable ink. Non-toxic. I will forward them to you for your review. Shall I also send marshmallows? -K. RE: Of Red Carpets and Engraved Invitations [Ginger Update] - kai - 11-16-2013 Latin is for amateurs. Enochian 4 Lyfe. -- chimes in the other errant Hermetic. Who doesn't know Enochian anyway. |
