calling certain peeps [attn: Whitney, Eleanor, Mara] - errin - 11-22-2013 Sometime in the earlier hours of Friday (after eight, but before noon, definitely) three people receive an unexpected call. Sid Rhodes is reaching out to three people she's scarcely spoken to in recent months, or ever, really. The calls are as brief as she can manage, and her main purpose quickly apparent: Are they alright? Details are brief, but she lets them know there's been a direct threat to all those who've had any contact with the umbrood from that fateful night at the movies a few months ago. Sid is reluctant to go into more detail than that, but that's not because of them or for any awkwardness at calling them up out of the blue like this. She's rattled, is all, shaken by that very threat. Further information is going to be (or perhaps already has by that point) posted to the "server," aka Ginger, but per Grace's warning they're not supposed to mention it over the phone or via text. [Sid's basically just checking in to make sure those three are okay following a terrible nightmare/vision she and Kalen had on Thursday night. If any of you would like something a little more detailed, we can probably do a more detailed version of the call via FPMs or emails or something.] RE: calling certain peeps [attn: Whitney, Eleanor, Mara] - kai - 11-25-2013 Eleanor does respond to the voicemail Sid ends up having to leave, but not on Friday. Nor Saturday nor Sunday. Which may or may not cause terror in the ranks, though Eleanor certainly wouldn't know why that would be. She does respond, bright and early, on Monday morning, texting the number back simply to say: Apologies for my late reply. Thank you for checking in. Please provide more details at your earliest convenience. RE: calling certain peeps [attn: Whitney, Eleanor, Mara] - errin - 12-02-2013 [blargh! i did not mean to let this go so long unanswered, sorry!] Eleanor's delayed response does not cause terror. Concern, yes, but a concern which abates a little as she hears from the others and no one reports a loss of eyes or internal organs or a sudden decision to stop breathing. That Monday morning when Eleanor does text back the reply is not immediate. Closer to noon she receives: Rec'd threat re: horror movie. Making sure it's only that. |
