It is dry as a bone outside, the sky is mostly blue with some clouds and a few gray patches, it's not even windy, and about ten minutes ago I heard one roll of thunder.

In other words, your characters are most likely getting panicked alerts on their phones about severe weather, but they are probably not hunkered down in storm shelters awaiting a tornado right now.

Unless they are super paranoid.

...Or are from California.

- Freeway-crushing earthquakes
- Apocalyptic wildfires
- Torrential rain, flash floods, and mudslides

.......every single year. Sometimes, we also have freak snowstorms and tornadoes.

Almost every day this week we've gotten tornado alerts and warnings at work.

My coworkers be like:
