It seems that the early reports in Denver's Elysium by a certain Ravnos named Kali were correct...
Word comes along channels of all Sects in many cities, whispered of in the halls of Elysia, shouted in the sacred Temples, and debated amongst mobs of Anarchs:
Of a Methuselah awakening from its torpor in Las Vegas this past Sunday.
The entity's clan is unknown – some say the thing is Settite, but that may simply be because of its city of origin or some other twist the tale takes along its route to the ears of each city.
Some Kindred wonder if it is a vampire at all, especially considering its reported activity during daylight hours. Others insist this must be the work of smoke, mirrors, industrious ghouls and living consorts.
A Brujah Archon, Vivian Menlow, is sent to investigate with her coterie. She was found staked out for the sun and hung from the Stratosphere Tower. The Camarilla PR-machine spins that Masquerade breach into a horrible failed attempt by one of Sin City's more extreme illusionists.
The Tremere were planning on embracing the scapegoat anyway, so they simply move up the timetable to mesh with his disappearance from the public eye.
A cadre of Sabbat came to see what was up and expecting a fight. They were either members of the Black Hand or Templars depending on who you're listening to, and disappeared completely after their first day's stay at Caesar's Palace.
Justicars vehemently deny these rumors. Cardinals use it as a rallying cry.
And then... It all goes quiet. Whatever powerful hand was stirring the pot has moved on by Thursday. The licks of Las Vegas rejoice. Their neighbors tremble, wondering in what direction it's now headed.
