So much to do.
There were things that were beyond his immediate reach and he left them across the room, staring occasionally like a sullen child locked in its crib. But everything else? He worked swiftly. Medical records did not lie- scratch that- medical records only lied when you wanted them to. So it was that he obtained files from Randy Rodriguez' last legitimate visit to hospital under that name. The next task was massive but he wasn't doing it so he cared very little. Cross reference. Find out if the person on these pages popped up anywhere else in the health industry under any different names. Was there an unnamed corpse somewhere in the system? Was he a John Doe, recovering from a fractured hip after a hit and run? It didn't matter to Darcy, just that he be found.
The other matter to attend to was the girl. He had no interest in her beyond her circumstances, which were.. troublesome.. to say the least. The moment he walked away from the Oxford he knew he would be returning at some point to explore the aftermath of her male visitor. Lasombra visitor. The two had exchanged names, which indicated meeting for the first time so he hoped to find her checked out- gone- missing- having been disappeared. No loss there. But should she still have a room under her name.. should she still be walking around.. That could be ugly. Given the nature of her visitor and given the fact that he knew of no Antitribu in the city.. He expected a mess, one he didn't think the teenage delinquents that made up the Sabbat would clean-up.
In the back of his head somewhere, the imminent arrival of Lady Adelaide whined for attention, whined for frontal-lobe processing power. But that was another one of those toys across the room, out of his reach. So he stared and sulked and cried about it and in the end he played with the damn blocks that he had been given.
