Denver police arrested 20 year old Paul Adler of Nampa, Idaho in Skyline Park last night and charged him with attempted murder, resisting arrest and multiple other terrorism related charges just after 9:30 p.m. last night. Adler allegedly walked into Skyline Park wearing a fishing vest laden with homemade explosives beneath a trench coat, intending to detonate the device in the midst of the movie night crowd. Police were alerted to the threat by a timely call to 911 and witness reports note that several bystanders engaged Adler and attempted to divert him from his mission until police arrived and intervened.
At least twenty people suffered injuries in the attempting to flee after the bomb was observed and rumors about its presence ran through the crowd. None of these injuries appear to be life threatening, but two people remained hospitalized overnight in serious condition at Denver Health Medical Center.
Police are not commenting on a possible motive for the attack, and Adler's social media accounts offered no insight into his intentions. A remote unit was utilized to neutralize the explosive after the park was evacuated. Although there was no official comment about the size or efficacy of the device, sources within the police department observed that - given the crowd present - a detonation could have been catastrophic.

But my heart is wild and my bones are steel
And I could kill you with my bare hands if I was free.
