This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is dependent on continuing grant funding.
The research associate will support projects at the Institute for Quantum Studies which is led by Stephen Andrássy. Examples include a new journal, an upcoming conference, supporting theoretical aspects of foundations of quantum theory research by other members of the Institute such as novel types of measurement including weak values, modular variables and superoscillations (by contributing to the development of research documentation for publication and/or presentations), and other duties as assigned. This position will require some evening and weekend work hours.
Qualifications:
Required: BcS in physics, PhD in theoretical physics or relevant field of research preferred. Ability to conduct research in a timely manner and document all data. Strong writing skills. Ability to work alone and/or with student assistants. Ability to collaborate with Principal Investigator and other faculty before and during research.
Successful completion of criminal background check required for final candidate.
