Grace finally managed to show up to "the house" on Sunday. It wasn't that she didn't want to go that kept her away, but Sid's warning to rest had sunk in a bit. It only sunk in after the exhaustion did, but that's beside the point. Too many irons in the fire, perhaps, as if that were a thing.
She had her writing and her desperate, failed attempts at expressing what Awakening meant. She had her mundane research job to keep up with still, though it had been falling to the wayside lately. Most importantly, however, she now had another goal. And this house with its library would surely sate that new hunger, right?
She followed the address out to the middle of nowhere, with a bit of concern as her cell signal winked in and out of existence. Why couldn't it be in the city (where should could get 3G and wifi hotspots)?
And when she got to the Chantry proper, her mood did not improve. It was so... big. The house looked like some very rich, landed person had got it in their heads to build something that looked like a farmhouse, so they could pretend to be one of the quaint little people. It made her feel uncomfortable. The connection hit a little too close to home, perhaps.
But books, she reminded herself. Books.
Alas, she was in the same situation as Sid. No library access, unless she could convince someone to let her in, and give her said access.
If she could, she would spend the rest of the day in the library, or until someone kicked her out. At which point she would be irate, because books.
[I know I said I would be available on Sunday, but it turns out I am getting *dragged* *kicking and screaming* to go see Pacific Rim, so I will substitute this forum post instead!]
