Trey drags down the collar of her shirt, but what has Sid watching her more closely is that shift of her hand over her gun. Sid's eyes lower to that small hand hovering over the weapon and her head tilts slightly. Then she looks up, sees the edge of the tattoo, and her eyes continue up to Trey's face.
"There's a shower in the bathroom off the living room and one upstairs."
Kalen speaks and Sid turns toward the sound of his voice. For a moment she merely watches him as he stares out the window, seeing things that aren't there (yet). Finally, she moves to leave the kitchen, taking her thermos with her. At the arch that connects the kitchen with the formal dining room Sid pauses, looks back.
"Atreyu and Bastian needed the auryn to travel safely through Fantastica. Whatever happens..." Drawing a breath, she pauses, releases the air from her lungs and shakes her head. "Be good to her." And then she goes. To her room to collect her things. She waits until the last possible moment to let on that she doesn't intend to stay any longer. She has no interest in waiting for Ian. No. She has no interest in staying in this place practically alone with Kalen. With or without Trey, Sid will take her chances out in the world. She'd rather face enemies she can recognize than wait to feel the knife slid between her ribs.
Or her skull crack against a dresser.
Or...
