This is a post for pictures that I or Kai or whoever takes or finds about the Denver area. I would come up with a cooler or better worded intro but I just got back from a 3ish mile walk in 80+ degree weather, my brain is a fried egg.

This is the view of the mountains from a section of the Cherry Creek Trail near where I live. This is what high plains desert looks like, I guess. True story, last winter I went walking through there early one morning and happened across this cool guy walking his dog shortly after he chased off some coyotes. Coyotes are really rampant here, it's highly recommended that people don't leave their animals outside for any length of time.

I was going to try to be cool and list the places I recognize, but I realized about a minute in that I can't name 90% of the places that I've been -_-

There are some great shots of the 16th Street Mall, Red Rocks, some sports field, and some views of the country/mountainside, though.

The ones I recognize right off the bat (other than the obvious sports-sports-sports fields and shots of landscapes):

0:22 - Civic Center Park. This is also the main stage during PrideFest.
0:31 - Preeetty sure this is Jazz in the Park at City Park.
0:35 - DAMN KIDS! *shakes fist*
0:39 - 16th Street Mall. Could probably find that alleyway if I went down there.
0:43 - Larimer Square. Lots of good restaurants over there.
0:55 - Stout + (turning onto) 14th, right past the Theater District/Convention Center light rail stop.
1:00 - 16th Street Mall again and the Free Mall Ride hybrid shuttle.
2:03 - Millenium Bridge.
2:11 - Denver Pavillions. It's a mall off of... the 16th Street Mall.
2:18 - "The Dancers", sculpture right next to the Convention Center.
2:23 - The best concert venue of all time, empty.
2:32 - "I See What You Mean", sculpture peeking into the Convention Center.
2:43 - Financial district downtown (you can tell because of that one building that looks like an old-timey cash register).
2:47 - Chess tables in the middle of 16th Street Mall. Basically you have shops on one side, a road for the shuttle, a middle area with pianos and stuff like this, another road for the other-direction shuttle, then more shops.
2:50 - The best concert venue of all time, full.
3:07 - Busking on 16th Street Mall in front of Hard Rock Cafe.
3:17 - Pause right here and the Sept of the Cold Crescent is the 2nd building from the right. :]
3:24 - Denver International Airport, home to a bunch of conspiracy theories and this sculpture, which was not in the video probably because it looks demonic:



I swear to god the entirety of the city is not the 16th Street Mall.

God fucking damn it, Kai, why would you post that picture, no one will ever come to visit! (I hate that sculpture, I hate driving past that sculpture at night which is apparently the only time my visitors come and go from here, because yeah, those fucking eyes glow =[ ]

I KNOW! There's a twin of that thing at the University of Oklahoma where I used to go to school.

The old-timey cash register building is the Wells Fargo building.
