So this was first done on a previous site as a Halloween event. I remember it being an absolute blast that yielded a ton of awesome, zany, hilarious, and sometimes deeply moving RP, so I thought I'd propose it here.
The idea is that for one night, in one room, you could play any character you'd ever played. It doesn't matter which site, which system, and whether or not that character is alive -- if you played it and want to play it again, you can. In practice, it's pretty much a totally freeform and unmoderated medium where events play out essentially by mutual consent. The setting is appropriately vague -- last time, I think the idea was that it would be set in a tavern outside of time (cheesy, but it worked!).
Within these very loose boundaries, you could do pretty much whatever -- trot out your signature characters for one more grand hurrah, have characters that missed each other by years meet each other, bring closure to dead or abandoned characters, etc. When the night is over, you can decide for yourself whether that night "really happened" or not in your own personal headcanon, but for the most part what happens in endoftheworldtavern stays in endoftheworldtavern.
So, that's the gist of it. Interested? Not interested? Vote in the poll!
