However, since we have new characters starting to play, I wanted to throw a couple of important updates out before trying to write them up all pretty:

• Cold Crescent doesn't exist anymore.

• 1999 Broadway is no longer Kinfolk-controlled or a gathering place for the Nation.
  
• Forgotten Questions, at least in terms of number of Garou/strength of the Garou, is seriously weakened.  If you need a specific answer about what's going on there (or anything else), please let me know ASAFP so I can get you some answers.

The scene ended up running over six hours long and used spirit/Charm/Umbra rules I was hella rusty on but everyone was super cooperative and patient and attentive.

With everything else in my life being a pain right in the spleen it was not only a nice diversion but it was cool to hear people having fun and getting to do something different. Also I got to make two characters rage revive, which is one of my all-time favorite pastimes. So thanks, guys.

In Character, the moots will still be happening every month on the full moon, but 'off screen'. The ones we actually play out will be every other moot. However, I can see that option presenting problems of its own, and I know there are plenty of other options.

Taking on a moot role means 1) helping me out considerably, 2) making moots more diverse and interesting, and 3) contributing to everyone else's fun. Moreover, it is the only instance where you can gain Renown for your PC and be awarded STing XP at the same time (and puts your character in the spotlight for more potential Kudos XP). It is literally win-win-win.

The dates that the moot is 'open' are on the calendar, so players who take on a moot role for the month are responsible for kicking off their section once I open the thread (Opening Howl/Inner Sky, Cracking the Bone, Songs + Tales, and the Revel). More information about the moot roles can be found here.

As the above link describes, Ragabashes also have a chance to serve as the Fool, but this role is optional and not always challenged for, given that of all the moot roles, the Fool is perhaps at the highest risk of losing Renown for their performance rather than gaining it.

Right now the players chipping in to run the moot are:

Moot Officers:
Caller of the Wyld / Master of the Howl: NPC unless challenged for in the interim.
Truthcatcher: Avery Chase [kai]
Talesinger: NPC unless challenged for in the interim.
Wyrmfoe: NPC unless challenged for in the interim.

Note that if a PC is the sole challenger for a role vs. NPCs, you're pretty much going to win. Given my current level of busy-ness I won't be writing challenges unless two or more PCs volunteer. In that case, it will become a formal affair run by the Master of Challenges (currently an NPC). So if you want to claim an above role, just toss up an IC post in the forums.

Also note that just because your character wasn't at the last moot or didn't challenge at the last moot, that doesn't mean they can't serve in a moot role. That's normally when the challenges occur, but these roles are open to challenge during the rest of the month as well. You can't challenge for August's Talesinger at the August moot, but you can challenge for it any time before the threads open, whether the role is currently held by a PC or NPC.]]>
Taking on a moot role means 1) helping me out considerably, 2) making moots more diverse and interesting, and 3) contributing to everyone else's fun. Moreover, it is the only instance where you can gain Renown for your PC and be awarded STing XP at the same time (and puts your character in the spotlight for more potential Kudos XP). It is literally win-win-win.

The dates that the moot is 'open' are on the calendar, so players who take on a moot role for the month are responsible for kicking off their section once I open the thread (Opening Howl/Inner Sky, Cracking the Bone, Songs + Tales, and the Revel). More information about the moot roles can be found here.

As the above link describes, Ragabashes also have a chance to serve as the Fool, but this role is optional and not always challenged for, given that of all the moot roles, the Fool is perhaps at the highest risk of losing Renown for their performance rather than gaining it.

Right now the players chipping in to run the moot are:

Moot Officers:
Caller of the Wyld / Master of the Howl: NPC unless challenged for in the interim.
Truthcatcher: Avery Chase [kai]
Talesinger: NPC unless challenged for in the interim.
Wyrmfoe: NPC unless challenged for in the interim.

Note that if a PC is the sole challenger for a role vs. NPCs, you're pretty much going to win. Given my current level of busy-ness I won't be writing challenges unless two or more PCs volunteer. In that case, it will become a formal affair run by the Master of Challenges (currently an NPC). So if you want to claim an above role, just toss up an IC post in the forums.

Also note that just because your character wasn't at the last moot or didn't challenge at the last moot, that doesn't mean they can't serve in a moot role. That's normally when the challenges occur, but these roles are open to challenge during the rest of the month as well. Remember, during your 2-week slot, you only need to commit to running 1 scene during that time. It doesn't have to have dice, it doesn't need to involve combat, and you can always reach out to me for ideas or suggestions if you're not sure what to do or how to do it or so on. And of course, everyone is welcome to run one-shots and scenes whenever they have the time and desire to do so, if signing up for a slot isn't your cup of tea. The only thing to remember in those cases is to try and avoid scheduling over each other.

Your fellow players will be grateful. I will be grateful. You'll be contributing to the awesomeness of the game. Rainbows! Unicorns! Etc.
