Westword (a weekly magazine... newspaper... thing) has a column called Ask a Stoner. They've had it for some time, but this week's issue wasn't for questions, it was to run down the retail marijuana rules from the perspective of someone who actually partakes. It's actually pretty useful:

And in totally unrelated-to-ganja news, there's also a
Voodoo Doughnut in Denver now.
On Colfax.
Because of course it is.

I live in the wrong city...
Look. I have school. And RP. And all my other time is taken up by sheer, unreasoning panic. I don't have time for Reddit.

I did some Googling and no: you are definitely not the only one to go 'wtf' at that. And suffice it to say, due to my well-ingrained white privilege I was pretty "what? wait, no!" at first but... yeah. There's some definite things to be O_o about.
I'm interested in the idea of getting Voodoo Doughnuts to make it up to the world by funneling some of the cash they've made from cultural appropriation and 'ironic' racism into charity.
http://www.hopeforhaiti.com/ would be a good organization.
Letter-writing campaign, anyone?

*sigh* K-Stew is my forever girl ♥_♥
I didn't have any plans to go to Voodoo Doughnuts ever, so I guess I shall remain steadfast in my avoidance!

In all fairness to Voodoo Doughnuts, they do give a ton of money to multiple charities and other local organizations, a fair amount more than you would expect for a generally small business.

"Good men don't need rules. And today's not the day to find out why I have so many."

Yes, but I'd like them to do that with acknowledgement of "whoa dudes we totally appropriated a historically marginalized culture and included racist stereotypes in our branding and marketing, we're gonna change all that and as a big 'SORRY Y'ALL' we are also gonna give away a fuckton of money".
I know, I know. I'm tough to please.
